Thank You from Heart & Soul President Bechman

Dear Friends of the Heart & Soul Charitable Fund,

We are so greatful to everyone who supported our annual Auction on February 15th at Christie's.  Because of your generosity, this was our most successful event in our 18 year history.  Although the exact numbers are still being audited the gross amount raised was around $400,000 versus just under $300,000 in 2006.  The bottom line is that our dedicated Grants Committee will have nearly 50% more money this year to provide funding to programs serving people in need in our greater New York community.

Our auctioneer extraordinaire and honoree was Mr. S. Stephen Lash, Chairman of Christie's North and South America.  The Auction Co-Chairs were Tom Reece and Greg Slamowitz, and the Benefit Committee Chair was Kerianne Flynn.  This stellar team, with help from a number of other volunteers, created an evening that was enjoyed by more than 275 guests and donors.

Plans are already underway for next year, as we strive to raise funds for our commendable outreach programs.  We are delighted that Kerianne Flynn and Greg Slamowitz will be Co-Chairs for Auction 2008 that will take place in February, 2008.
