Adela Leibowitz
Adela Leibowitz received her BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology and her MFA from the New York Academy of Art. A painter of oil on linen often in a monochrome palette, she has described her work as “[having] a tale in it and fuses mythology, bizarre legends and epic tales that have been passed down through the ages alongside my own observations of people and ensuing psychological dramas.” (NY Arts Magazine, vol. 11, no. 9, Among the group exhibitions in which her work has appeared this year are the 9th annual Young Painters Exhibition at Miami University, OH; the LA Art Fair in NY; and Summertime in Paris, Montreal, Canada. Her 2009 exhibition season will open with a solo exhibition in NYC.
