Mary Pendergrass

Mary Pendergrass, weaver and basket maker, began her art training at the De Young Art Museum in San Francisco and continued her fine art studies at Colorado State and the University of Washington. She lives in Brown County Indiana in the Art Colony of the Midwest founded in 1907 by a group of impressionist painters where she and her husband now live in the former home of painter L. O. Griffith. She has been doing Nantucket and Shaker basketry for the past fifteen years.
